Reflections by Rosie DiBella of Safe Passage

Our speaker today is Rosie DiBella, who serves as the Deputy Director of Development/Subdirectora de Desarrollo of Safe Passage, an organization which originated in Maine in 1999.  Rosie’s passion for programming and development for the Latinx communities drives her to continue her efforts promoting the expansion of educational services to the children and families of the Guatemala City Garbage Dump, through Safe Passsage/Camino Seguro.

Rosie has been a strong advocate for raising awareness of social and cultural issues in the US and internationally for the last decade. Rosie joined Safe Passage early this year, bringing expertise in supporting children/adults from vulnerable communities and victims of violence. Rosie worked as a Program Manager at the Sexual Assault Services of Southern Maine, where she worked in the system evolution of trauma-informed advocacy service programs. Rosie is also a leader on several committees that work in outreach and creating awareness for more services to immigrants and the Spanish community of Maine.
