Welcome:

Responsive Call to Worship:

Throughout the ages, disciples have said,
“I will follow you wherever you go.”
Lord, give us the freedom to follow you
in the ways of love.
We come from busy homes, filled with little time
to consider You in our lives.
Lord, give us the strength to follow you
in the ways of peace.
In times of struggle, we look to God for help.
Lord, give us the opportunity to follow you
in the ways of kindness.
Today, we celebrate our connections to one another,
and the joy of following God.
Lord, give us the patience to follow you
in the ways of faith. Amen.

Opening Hymn:  My Country, “Tis of Thee                              #357

Invocation: Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks for all the blessings we experience-the freedom to worship you without fear, the bounty and diversity of your creation, and the precious gifts of unexpected joy.  As we draw near to You this hour, may we immerse ourselves in your healing presence.  Refresh us and renew us that we might become faithful laborers in your harvest of peace, justice and joy.  We pray in the name of our great Healer, Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Announcements

Summer Gathering:  Ahoy, Mateys!!

We’d like to schedule a short windjammer cruise!!

With COVID, we haven’t had too many opportunities to get together and socialize. However, summer is a great time to rectify that!

Sharon Gaudin has spoken with the folks at The Pineapple Ketch, which sails out of Kennebunk. Sails last an hour and a half. The boat heads down the river, out around Goat Island and then out to sea.

The boat can take 12 people for a full charter. However, as few as two of us could sign up. Day-time cruises are $65/person. An evening cruise is $95 per person.

As people are booking their seats continuously, we can’t pick a day and time until we know how many people are interested in going. If you would be interested in going sometime in the first few weeks of August, please email Sharon, who is willing to schedule this. (gaudinsharon@gmail.com)

-Please let her know if there are days you are not available and if you would prefer a day or evening sail. First come, first serve!

The sooner we can get a group together, the sooner we can schedule a cruise!                                                    Thank you!
